The same still applies as in the last post, however the path of the center has now moved further north, therefor strengthening the storm a bit. The storms estimated pressure is going to be 948mb instead of 960mb meaning that an amber warning of wind may be issued for northern Ireland and Northern Scotland.
Now we are looking to the potential for another storm this time hitting southern parts on Saturday night into Sunday morning. At this time it looks as though the center will stay in the near continent, however some models want to take a slightly weaker storm in to southern England possibly bring with it disruptive snow on it's northern most edge and disrupt rain further south. The worst of the winds at this time look as though they will stay in the south west.

Yes, that's right Wednesday afternoon through to Thursday afternoon an area of low pressure is expected to cross the country travelling from the border between northern Ireland and Ireland, to the border of England and Scotland and then out into the north sea. There are weather warnings issued for this storm which will just make it into a low end storm as the pressure falls to around 960mb. The worst of the rain is expected south of the system centre and the worst of the wind and snow is expect to the north of the centre as well as in the centre. This looks to be the last storm for a while as this will drag in a lot of cold air behind it bringing largely dry conditions except for where there are wintry showers. This storm is expected to topple over trees and lead to quite widespread surface water flooding!!!
The storm has now been downgraded as it moves over towards Scandinavia. It will still be quite windy still as there is a storm in between Iceland and Scotland moving east wards at the moment, but the centre isn't close enough to be named.
Storm 2 had no reported deaths, however power lines and trees have collapsed and wind gusts of 110mph were recorded in Northern Scotland. Lorry's were over turned on motorways in Scotland which lead to two Unsevere injuries were caused by the storm. There are no reported deaths at the moment. Storm 2 is on the way this evening and is approaching. This will be primarily made of wind where warnings have already been issued. The centre will be brushing the north of Scotland where an amber warning of wind has been issued for gusts of up to 100mph. This could bring down trees and power lines overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning before clearing rapidly away to the east. There is a warning for rain in Cumbria, but this is for the system behind which will be weaker and pass a lot further to the north and so wont be named. As for the outlook period it seems as though there wont be any intimidate threats for centring storms over the Uk. There is the chance that one may develop at the end of next week, but we are uncertain of whether it will and/or who strong it will be.
The Pressure of the system at the moment is estimated at 984mb and is expected to drop to 964mb at time of land fall. It may sound hard to believe, but we have only had one named storm so far this storm season and it doesn't look like it's going to change as the centres of storms stay nearer to Iceland than the UK. There is however a sign that these storms may start to slip a little further south, and this is something we will keep our eye on in the next few days.
