The remnants of invest 91A didn't have enough energy to strength as the system came into the British isles weaker than expect. Now our focus turns to post tropical cyclone Bertha. Which could have an impact with rain on Sunday and wind on Monday, but we are still uncertain of the exact path it will take.

The first Storm is approaching the British isles from the south west and will go through the south and the take a turn towards the north possibly missing the far north of Scotland. There are warnings in place for this system, however it could strengthen enough to become our first named storm of the 2014-2015 storm season. At the moment it is called invest 91A. If it were to strengthen it would have the name of storm one. 50mm+ is forecast for south and east England for rain and also could include hail and thunder at times.
The Second Storm approaching is post tropical cyclone Bertha. This is going to be the worst of the storms. Although we are uncertain of the track it will hit us late Saturday evening through to Sunday evening. At the moment it looks as though it will go through Ireland and then go and hit the South and central parts of England. At the moment weather warnings are staying at the yellow level, but as we get nearer the time we do expect it to get worse. We will keep you updated as we get the information. |
