At the moment an invest area is brewing in the Atlantic. Some models want to take a weak depression and centre it over Scotland and others want to take a much stronger system into Scotland. At the moment weather warnings have been issued for majority of the western side of the British isles. Because this is a late season storm the winds could cause trees to be uprooted as they are much heavier with their leaves on. This system is expected to be close to what we would expect to see in October, November time. The pressure at the moment looks likely to be around 984mb with wind gusting up to 60-65mph. we will keep you updated if anything changes.
Outlook- Apart from a small depression that shouldn't become strong enough to be named the weather should start to settle down under the influence of high pressure as we would expect to see in early June which should bring an end to our stronger storms until September.
