We need to keep a very close eye on Invest 06A and 07A!
The First Invest 06A is expected to be the weakest and may not strengthen enough to become a storm. However it will pass straight through the centre of England and Wales and then slowly sink down towards the south East and Dissipate. It will approach us though the day on Friday and then spend most of Saturday making slow progress south east wards. It should clear overnight on Saturday. Some heavy rain can be expected at times For England, however the heaviest of the rain will be in more central and southern parts of the country. Winds Could get to Gale force. The Second Invest 07A will make a direct landfall on Ireland and then again to Wales before stalling over central England. At this time it looks to not only be a stronger storm and probably named and numbered, but a much slower moving one. It will make first landfall in Ireland on Sunday evening and probably wont clear England until. Some point on Tuesday. Impacts this time will be felt in Ireland, with wide spread flooding likely as the rain will be falling on saturated ground. Winds could also be an issue here. As for other impacts the winds shouldn't be an issue by the time it reaches England and Wales, However rain could be an issue on Sunday the further South and West you are. Impacts after this time are likely to only be wind related as the area of low pressure will likely form a 'flabby low' meaning that the pressure will always be rising across it. We will keep you updated as we get more information!!!

Storm Frank has been named by the met office because it will produce some very heavy flooding rain to the northwest. However this system is expected to make a northerly turn on its way across the Atlantic and directly affect Iceland rather than the UK. This could however change. Which is why we have named this invest 05A.
We also need to watch that another area of low pressure spins up inside Franks trailing front. This is an unlikely scenario. Because of how strong Frank will be winds will still be an issue in the north despite the centre being near iceland. 80+mph winds can be expected and gales further south. 150mm or more rain is possible in the west, south west, and northwest, and Scotland because the trailing weather fronts will be strong and likely to stall. The worst impacts will be between Tuesday and Thursday. We Will keep you updated if anything changes. Storm Eva has only been designated an invest area for the time being as although it is a long was off models show it staying between Iceland and Scotland. It is expected to pass by on Christmas eve. The reason behind the naming of the storm by the met office is due to the fact that the heaviest rain Will fall on already saturated ground in the north west of England. This is likely to bring disruptive flooding to places that have already had it early this month. Winds will peak on the evening of the 23rd at 80+ mph in the far north.
We will keep you updated if any thing changes. Red Warnings are in place ahead of storm 8/ Desmond. It is Expected to sun across Northern Scotland within the next few hours and move away into Scotland. The Central pressure has dropped dramatically to 972mb and the track of the centre of the storm has moved south since yesterday evening thus making us number the storm. For the impacts of this storm go to the warnings page where warnings have been issued for almost the whole of the Uk. One death has been reported in London caused by the storm, after a man got blown into the side of a bus!!!
We will keep you updated as we get more information. Storm Desmond was named by the Met office, However will not receive a number from us yet...12/4/2015 Storm Desmond was named by the Met office, However will not receive a number from us yet, as the centre is just too far away. Storm 8 would be the next storm and the elongated area of low pressure that includes Desmond has been designated Invest 03A. we expect that a part of this elongated circulation could break off and spiral into Scotland either on Saturday late on, or early next week. The window of opportunity will Close by the time we get to late on Wednesday as an area of high pressure is expected to filter in.
We will keep you updated if anything changes!!! The Area of low pressure originally going to be storm 8 has been dropped for the time being to invest 02A. However a weather 'bomb' running to the North of Scotland could be named storm 8 and could bring very Strong winds to Scotland for a time Saturday in to Sunday. We will update you tomorrow evening!!!
