Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible late on Monday afternoon across parts of the north and northwest Midlands, northwest England and northeast Wales. A band of heavy rain will then follow northwards across the same areas during Monday evening, clearing to the north during the early hours of Tuesday. The public should be aware of the risk of surface water flooding leading to localised disruption to travel. Valid from 1600 Monday until 0400 Tuesday. Early weather warning expected for rain in the south west on tuesday otherwise stAYING LARGLY DRY!!!3/30/2014 Due to the warm weather over the weekend and into the first part of next week, some potentially severe thunder storms will start to pop up from the later part of Tuesday until the temperatures die down. We expect these to be few and far between, but there could be some hail mixed in and this could give way to temporary accumulations of hail.

Icy patches are expected overnight, as roads will remain wet from showers Friday evening and overnight into Saturday. These showers will continue to fall as a mixture of rain, sleet and hail with snow mostly over higher ground. Higher routes, mainly across Argyll and the Highlands, could see snow accumulations of around 5cm.The public should be aware of possible disruption due to icy surfaces on Friday night and during Saturday morning. Valid from 2000 Friday to 0900 Saturday. YELLOW WARNING of ICE for Northern Ireland, southern Scotland, northern England, northwestern parts of The Midlands and inland parts of Wales. Icy patches are expected overnight, as roads will remain wet from showers Friday evening and overnight into Saturday. These showers will continue to fall as a mixture of rain, sleet and hail with snow mostly over higher ground. Some higher routes, e.g. trans-Pennine routes, could see temporary snow accumulations of 2-5cm.The public should be aware of possible disruption to travel due to icy surfaces on Friday night and early on Saturday morning.
